Twenty residents were killed across the suburban area this Tuesday; Hamoria 4, Sbaineh 4, Babila 3 and one victim in each of the following Alqaisa, Al’etaibeh, Al’abadeh, Dumair, Dareyya, ‘Adraa, Douma, ‘Erbeen and Almlaiha.
Hamoria: Four residents, including two children, were killed and several others were wounded during fierce rocket and mortar shelling launched by Assad forces on schools.
Sbaineh: Regime forces launched fierce mortar, rocket and artillery shelling on residential areas killing four residents (including a little girl), critically wounding five others and destroying buildings.
Babila: Three residents including a child were killed during fierce shelling on the town.
Alqaisa: One resident was killed and dozens were wounded during fierce shelling by the Air Defense battalion stationed near Damascus International Airport.
Saqba: Assad forces launched an aerial attack on residential areas wounding several residents including children and causing colossal damage to buildings. The attack came after fierce and systematic rocket shelling that led to the injury of civilians; several critically.
Jisreen: Mortar shells rained down on the town wounding residents and causing major destruction in the area.
Alghassooleh: Regime rocket shelling targeted Alghassooleh while fierce clashes and explosions were heard in Deir Al’asafeer and Almlaiha.
Zamalka: An aerial raid with MiG fighter jets as well as rocket and mortar shelling targeted the town during the early morning hours.
Azzabadani: Regime forces continued to target the city with fierce shelling for nine months in a row. The continuous attacks forced residents to evacuate the city and destroyed the city’s infrastructure.
Dareyya: Assad forces shelled the city for 113 days in a row wounding residents and destroying residential buildings while the FSA managed to destroy a regime tanks. Additionally, regime forces continued to besiege the city for three months in a row and deprive the residents from power and all forms of communication. Furthermore, regime forces continued to destroy homes and clear lands adjacent to Almazzeh Military Airport in a an attempt to extended the airport territories over the city.
Bait Sahim: Heavy artillery and tanks’ shelling targeted the town while fierce clashes between the FSA and regime forces took place near Damascus International Airport and ‘Aqraba. Residents continued to lack power, water, all forms of communication and most needed medical and food supplies.
Jararjeer: Fierce artillery shelling targeted the town.
Harasta: Intermittent shelling targeted several areas in the city.
Alboida: The 58th brigade targeted the town with fierce artillery shelling.
Otaya: Fierce rocket shelling targeted the outskirts.
Regime rocket shelling targeted Yabrood city.
Fierce clashes occurred in Ma’raba and its outskirts and lasted for around 30 minutes.
