Twenty four residents were killed across the suburban area this Thursday; Douma 8, Babila 2, ‘Erbeen 3, Harasta 2, ‘Ain Tarma 1, Alblalieh 2 (one of whom is from Aleppo), Zamalka 1, Dareyya 1, Attal 1, Alqtaifa 1, kafr Batna 1 and Azzamanieh 1.
Douma: Regime forces launched fierce mortar and heavy artillery shelling as well as aerial bombardment on residential buildings and mosques killing eight residents including a woman (San’aa Ghanoom.) The head of the military operations working for the Brigade of Islam (Hassan Ayoob) and two activists (volunteer cameramen: Abdullah Enjaleh and Anass Ka’akeh) were among the victims.
Saqba: Regime forces launched three aerial raids on residential areas including the Big Mosque, neighboring residential buildings and Almaqsam district. The attacks led to the death and injury of scores of civilians and caused colossal damage to buildings. At least three residents were fatally burned as a result of dropping napalm bombs on peaceful homes.
Alblalaieh: Fierce rocket shelling targeted peaceful homes killing four residents (including a child from ‘Erbeen city) and wounding many residents mostly women and children; several are in critical condition.
Alghootah Asharqieh: Assad forces launched fierce aerial raids with Sukhoi warplanes on the cities and towns of Alghootah Asharqieh including Saqba, kafr Batana, Jisreen, Douma, Marj Assultan, Harasta, Harasta Alqantara and Zamalka.
Alqalamoon: The 155th brigade launched two Scud missiles on the northeastern Syrian territories.
Marj Assultan: Regime warplanes targeted a school with TNT explosive barrels. The school building houses refugee families from surrounding areas.
Harasta: Regime forces launched fierce aerial raids on Ata’ale and Semsem districts and dropped TNT explosive barrels on Harasta Alqantara wounding many residents and causing colossal damage to buildings. Furthermore, residents found two unidentified victims near the Air Force Intelligence Branch’s checkpoint. The victims were extra judicially executed and mutilated.
Zamalka: Unprecedented aerial raids and fierce rocket and heavy artillery shelling led to the injury of several residents.
Jisreen: Regime forces launched mortar shelling and aerial attacks during the morning hours wounding civilians and causing colossal damage to buildings.
Kafr Batna: Assad forces launched aerial attacks wounding civilians and destroying residential buildings.
Bzaineh: Fierce regime mortar shelling led to the injury of several residents including children.
Jarajeer: Aerial bombardment with military helicopters targeted the town.
Hosh Arab: Fierce artillery shelling continues to target the town for seven moths in a row.
Dareyya: Regime forces intensified rocket and artillery shelling against the city and continued to dispatch military reinforcements to the area for 93 days in a row.
Mu’adamyyat Asham: Regime forces stationed in Almu’adamyyah Mountains targeted residential areas with fierce shelling attacks starting the early morning hours.
Deir Makr: The 68th brigade continued to launch fierce shelling on the outskirts for two days in a row forcing residents to evacuate the town.
Khan Asheih: Fierce shelling targeted Alqusoor and Drosha farms.
‘Adraa: Assad forces have been searching homes in the industrial district since Wednesday evening and setting up roadblocks between the residential units while regime troops targeted Adr’aa city with heavy artillery shelling .
Azzabadani: Regime shelling resumed against the city.
Misraba: Activist ‘Erfan Attekleh was killed while covering the military operations taking place in Jobar.
Harran Al’awameed: Assad forces continued to destroy homes and level them to the ground as part of the regime’s plan to extend Damascus International Airport territories over the town.
