Thirteen residents were killed in rural Damascus this Friday;
Dareyya 4, Harasta 3 and one victim in each of the following: Hamoria, Shab’aa, Arrhaibeh, Mu’adamyyat Asham, Zamalka and ‘Erbeen.
Almlaiha: Regime forces launched rocket, mortar and artillery shelling on the town causing colossal damage to buildings while fierce gun battles continued to take place in the vicinity of the Air Defense Administration. Furthermore, 350 residents (including women and children) are still in the regime’s custody after being arrested at a checkpoint in Almlaiha six days ago.
Misraba: Assad forces launched mortar shelling attacks on the town terrorizing civilians, killing a woman and her daughter and wounding a large number of residents; many critically.
Dareyya: Regime forces launched heavy artillery shelling and intermittent gunfire on residential areas in an attempt to invade the city. The FSA, however, managed to keep them at bay. Four civilians were killed during the attacks while residents in Dareyya and Mu’adamayyat Asham lack water, power, fuels and medical supplies as a result of the siege imposed on both cities for 60 days in a row.
Zamalka: Deyaa Nooh (11 years) was killed during mortar and rocket shelling on the city. The shrapnel hit the child while leaving the mosque, cut his legs and killed him immediately. Several residents were also wounded during the attacks which mainly targeted the city’s mosques.
Hetaitet Ajjarash: Fierce rocket shelling by Assad forces targeted the town.
Shab’aa: Fierce rocket shelling.
‘Addraa: Fierce gunfire heard from the direction of the city’s farms and Tal Kerdi. Several explosions were also heard.
Bait Sahim and ’Aqraba: Assad forces continued to launch systematic tanks and mortar shelling on both towns for 44 days in a row. The shelling attacks also targeted the neighboring towns as well as the entire southern suburban area (Yelda, Hajeera, Babila and Alboida.) Residents lack water, power, fuels and medical supplies.
Mu’Adamyyat Asham: Continual shelling targeted residential areas.
Jairood: Security and military forces invaded the city starting the early morning hours and launched assault and detention raids on residential areas.
Hamoria: Mahmood Akram Allam was killed during rocket shelling launched by Assad forces on Alghootah Asharqieh.
Saqba: Regime forces launched fierce artillery shelling on the city.
Heavy artillery shelling targeted Yelda and Mu’adayyat Asham during the evening hours.
Demonstrations mobilized in Saqba, Douma, Yabrood, Madyara, Qara, Babila, ‘Erbeen, Harasta, Bait Sahim and Dareyya.
