One hundred thirty four citizens, including women and children, were killed in Damascus suburbs this Monday. Forty two residents were killed, one hundred fifty were wounded and thousands flee their homes in search for safe refugee as a result of brutal and indiscriminate shelling attacks on homes in Zamalka. Regime forces handed over thirty nine victims for burial in Dareyyah. Dozens of civilians were handcuffed, tortured and extra judicially executed in Mu’adhameyyatu-Sham. Five victims, father and all four children, were killed during shelling attacks on residential areas in Kafr Batan while the mother is in serious condition. One person from Azzabadani was tortured to death in the custody of the regime forces.
Al-Assad’s militias opened fire on civilians while security forces launched assault raids on homes, stopped and screened residents and arrested dozens of peaceful civilians at checkpoints. Military forces shelled residential areas all over the suburban area with MiG 21 and 23 fighter jets, tanks and artillery, killing dozens on peaceful civilians under the rubble, forcing thousands of residents to flee their homes, destroying buildings and triggering explosions.
