Close to a hundred civilians and one defected soldier were killed this Tuesday across rural Damascus. Eighty six citizens were killed in a terrifying massacre in Mu’adhameyyatu-Sham as forces working for the Fourth Division in the regime’s military launched a brutal offensive on the city. During the offensive, pro-regime militias slaughtered at least ten civilians with swords and burned several residents, including entire families, in an attempt to break the will of residents and put an end to the anti-Assad protests. Few hours later, a military helicopter opened fire on the funeral procession held for the burned victims killing sixteen mourners. Furthermore, six more victims bearing torture marks were found in Attal Military Hospital right after the end of the military offensive on Attal city.
Meanwhile, Al-Assad’s militias stationed on rooftops and checkpoints opened heavy gunfire on civilians killing several residents at different cities. Regime forces launched assault and detention raids on homes, detained indiscriminately dozens of residents, looted homes and businesses. Military forces launched fierce shelling attacks on residential areas and farms triggering massive explosions and setting properties on fire.
