Seventy seven residents, including women and children, were killed in the suburban area on the last day of the holy month of Ramadan. Victims died during indiscriminate shelling attacks on residential areas and in extra judicial execution. Hundreds of civilians were wounded, many are in serious condition.
Furthermore, fifty five residents were killed in Attal City alone during the military offensive on the city. Victims died during brutal shelling attacks on homes and shelters, under the rubble or were slaughtered by Al-Assad militias. it is being reported that dozens of victims are still on the streets and some bodies started to decompose. However, the number of casualties is expected to increase sharply as recovery teams are still unable to reach the victims due to continual shelling and lack the proper equipments needed to recover the victims from underneath the rubble. The regime forces are slowing the recovery efforts even more by preventing the aid organizations from entering the city.
Meanwhile, Al-Assad militias kidnapped individuals, attacked homes and mosques, looted and set private properties on fire. Military forces deployed security reinforcements in various directions and resumed brutal aerial bombardment and shelling attacks on residential areas during which power cables, water tanks and gas stations were also extensively damaged.
